Welcome to Sudoku (the "App"). The App is independently developed and operated by an individual developer ("we", "us", or "the developer"), not a corporate entity. We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how the App collects, uses, stores, and protects your information. Please read it carefully before using the App.

      Summary: Sudoku is a single-player puzzle game that requires no account or sign-in. We do not actively collect your name, phone number, or other directly identifying information. To keep the App free, it uses Google AdMob to show ads; AdMob collects device identifiers, network and device information for ad delivery (see Section 2). You can limit ad tracking in your device settings.
    

1.Information We Collect and Use

(1) Game data stored on your device. The App requires no registration or login. Your chosen difficulty, current game progress, time, and preferences (such as notes mode) are saved locally on your device using the system's standard storage (UserDefaults). This data is not uploaded to our servers.

(2) Information collected to show ads. To keep the App free, we integrate Google AdMob (see Section 2). When serving ads, the advertising SDK may collect:

Advertising identifiers: e.g. the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA, with your permission) on iOS, the Android Advertising ID (AAID), and the device vendor identifier (IDFV);
Device & system information: device model, operating system version, screen resolution, language, time zone, and carrier;
Network information: IP address and network connection type (Wi-Fi / cellular);
Approximate location: a coarse region inferred from your IP address (not precise GPS location);
Ad interaction data: ad impressions, clicks, and related events used for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.

This information is collected and processed by Google AdMob to display ads (personalized or non-personalized), measure ad performance, and prevent fraud. We ourselves do not use this information to identify you personally.

2.Advertising & Third-Party Services (Google AdMob)

The App uses Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google LLC, to display advertisements. AdMob and Google may collect and process the information described in Section 1(2) in accordance with Google's own privacy policies. We do not control how Google subsequently uses this data.

Aside from Google AdMob, the App does not integrate any other advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking services, and does not share your information with any other third party.

3.Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties except:

With our advertising provider (Google): to display ads, the AdMob SDK collects and processes the necessary device information directly on your device, as described above;
For legal reasons: when required by applicable law, legal process, or a binding request from a competent authority.

4.Device Permissions & App Tracking Transparency

The core gameplay requires no sensitive permissions. The ad SDK may access basic information such as network status at runtime. On iOS, before reading the advertising identifier (IDFA) for personalized ads, the system will ask for your consent through the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. You may choose "Ask App Not to Track"; if you decline, you can still use the App normally and will simply see less relevant ads.

5.Data Storage & Security

Your game data is stored locally on your device. Ad-related information is handled and stored by Google in accordance with its policies. We and our provider take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but please understand that no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. Uninstalling the App generally removes the local game data from your device.

6.Your Rights & Choices

Limit ad tracking: On iOS, go to Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking to turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track", or decline the ATT prompt. On Android, you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your system settings.
Manage Google ad personalization: Visit Google Ads Settings to control personalized ads.
Delete local data: You can remove all locally stored game data at any time by uninstalling the App.

7.Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps. Where required, ads served to younger audiences are limited to non-personalized advertising.

8.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time (for example, when we add or change advertising services). For material changes, we will notify you through an in-app notice or by updating this page. The revised policy takes effect once published — please note the "Last updated" date at the top.
